Dr. Abear's friendly and efficient staff will assist you in all phases of your child's health care. Tammy, the receptionist, will give you an appointment and make sure your current address and insurance information is entered into the computer. Bonnie, the nurse, will weigh your child and check your health and immunization records before the doctor sees your child. Angela, the billing clerk, will answer any questions you have about insurance coverage for the heath care services you've received in the office.

Imelda R. Abear, M.D.
abearportrait.jpg (9132 bytes) Dr. Imelda Abear received her M.D. degree from the Cebu Institute of Medicine in Cebu City, Philippines, where she fulfilled her rotating internship. She completed her pediatric residency training at Vancouver General Hospital, B.C. and at the Janeway Child Health Center, both in Canada. She also did her fellowship training in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at the Izaak Waltom Hospital, Nova Scotia, Canada, after which she practiced pediatrics in Corner Brook, Nfld.

In 1993, Dr. Abear and her family moved to Ogdensburg and she has been affiliated with Ogdensburg Pediatric Service to date.

Dr. Abear is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
