SLHA was incorporated in 1995 as a for-profit corporation functioning independently with a board of directors and an executive director. SLHA provides a wide range of services to implement a physician practice from start-up through full practice. Through these services, St. Lawrence Health Alliance will help to enhance the operational, business and clinical performance of its clients, and build growth and stability in the rapidly changing healthcare environment.

SLHA was established as a Management Service Organization (MSO) to oversee and support the management functions of medical practices. Services include management, planning, marketing, employee leasing, insurance enrollment, claims processing, billing and collections, purchasing, transcription, financial management, and compliance programs. Through the SLHA there can be increased productivity without the hassles of office management.
